It’s Us Against Your Challenges
You can do hard things, including learning healthy ways to cope with your challenges.
If you’ve tried other therapy options without success in the past, you may feel your challenges are too hard to address in an outpatient setting. We’re here to support you with highly individualized psychotherapy so that you can take on these challenges from home.
Many treatment plans follow rigid models that might not work for you, especially if you’re working with a combination of interpersonal problems, trauma, or substance use.
We’ll tailor our work together to target each of these complex challenges methodically, using a variety of modalities to help you address them in a holistic and integrative way.
You don’t have to feel alone in this. We’re here to support you as you work towards wellness and the life you aspire to live.
Meet Our Team
Stella B. Keitel, PsyD
Prior to becoming a psychologist Stella worked as a volunteer with incarcerated women in maximum security prison and victims of domestic violence and their children in a location-protected setting. It was through these experiences that she became inspired to look more closely at our mental health care system and the manner in which mental health care services are delivered especially to those who are underserved and marginalized.
She received her doctoral training at Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Albert Einstein Medical School. Training extensively in multiple modalities of psychotherapy and neuropsychological assessment, she completed the capstone of her clinical training at Manhattan Psychiatric Center, followed by post-doctoral training at Kirby Forensic Psychiatric Center, where she continued to work as a treatment team leader, acute care psychologist, and forensic evaluator.
In treatment, Stella works collaboratively with her patients and is dedicated to providing a safe space for people to work through their challenges with her support and guidance. She employs a integrative framework pulling from several therapeutic modalities including, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy.
Stella’s style is direct and supportive, she believes that honesty and transparency are inherently therapeutic and that sometimes the best therapy outcomes are from treatment that does not need to look and feel like treatment. She truly enjoys the creativity of therapy, and customizing treatment by integrating different modalities to honor the uniqueness of each of her patients, and ultimately for therapy to be effective for them.
Kylie A. Brandt, LMHC, CTT1
Kylie grew up in a large family and always wanted to better understand family systems and the roles we play within them. Throughout her childhood and teenage years, she had a lot of challenges personally and with family.
Minoring in psychology in college to better understand her own experiences, Kylie developed a deep passion for the study of psychology and aspired to one day practice in the field. Understanding that playing a supportive, empathetic role in the lives of friends and family was a big part of her identity, she knew she had a greater calling to help others, which led her to apply to graduate school programs in mental health to begin the journey of becoming a therapist.
Kylie is an integrative psychotherapist who strives to meet her clients where they are and provide a supportive and safe space for self-reflection and exploration. Her clinical approach is grounded in various treatment modalities, including cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), exposure with response prevention (ERP), mentalization-based therapy (MBT), mindfulness, family systems, and interpersonal and psychodynamic therapy. She is passionate about working with patients with various mental health challenges and has experience working with individuals with mood, personality, trauma, anxiety, and developmental disorders. Kylie’s special interest and expertise are working with individuals, couples, and families where diagnoses are co-morbid and high-risk issues are prevalent.
Joe Keifer, PsyD, BSN, RN
Joe’s journey toward becoming a psychologist was a non-linear path that enriched his understanding of the human experience. Prior to his career as a psychologist, Joe served as a dedicated nurse, where he witnessed firsthand the profound impact of empathy, open communication, and prioritizing the well-being of patients. These values continue to guide his daily practice as a psychologist.
Joe earned his doctorate in psychology from the Institute of Graduate Clinical Psychology at Widener University, specializing in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy/Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (CBT/ACT) and Health Psychology. He further honed his expertise during a postdoctoral fellowship at the Aaron T. Beck Psychopathology Research Center at the University of Pennsylvania. Under the mentorship of Dr. Aaron Beck, a pioneer in CBT and CT-R, Joe received advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Recovery-Oriented Cognitive Therapy (CT-R). He went on to work with individuals facing serious mental health challenges and played a pivotal role in training and consulting with organizations implementing CT-R. Joe’s commitment to teaching and consultation continues as he serves as a faculty member at The Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavior Therapy and teaching nurse practitioner students at the University of Pennsylvania.
When it comes to psychotherapy, Joe adopts an action-oriented, pragmatic, and strengths-based approach. He firmly believes that the most effective therapy emerges from a collaborative partnership between equals. Recognizing that one-size-fits-all solutions do not suit everyone, Joe places great emphasis on tailoring his approach to suit the unique needs of each client, even if it means departing from traditional therapeutic methods. Joe’s commitment to personalized, adaptable therapy underscores his dedication to the holistic well-being of those he serves.
In addition to his work in psychology, Joe is also a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), a testament to his unwavering dedication to helping others in diverse settings.
